A friend and avid thinker about all things community, Hussain Khan, has started a podcast focusing on stories of hope, vulnerability, and change within the Canadian Muslim community.

His podcast, called Chicken Soup for the Muslim Ruh, draws light upon some of the ways Canadian Muslims support their faith community and neighbours by centering their Muslim experience; an experience that is sometimes fraught with having to navigate one’s own identity and well-being in an age marked by prejudice and stereotypes.

In episodes 2 & 3, Hussain and I discuss my previous service as a Muslim chaplain serving within a Catholic hospital. In addition to discussing the nature of chaplaincy, we touch on the topic of grief and caring for others in times of difficulty.

You can find the podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcast, and Youtube.
